Ethan Young
Therapist LPCC Trainee, supervised by Candace London, LMFT
I am a graduate clinician-in-training completing my Masters in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy at the Institute for Clinical Social Work. After beginning my career in business, I found myself drawn toward a deeper understanding of human experience: how we come to see ourselves, how our relationships shape us, and how we can move beyond patterns that keep us from feeling connected to ourselves and others.
I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults navigating depression, anxiety, addiction, ADHD, trauma, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and questions of identity. My approach integrates psychodynamic and existential perspectives with practical tools from CBT and DBT. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences, approach themselves with greater curiosity, and develop new ways of relating to the world.
I am drawn to this work by the belief that no one should have to navigate emotional suffering alone. I see therapy not simply as a means of reducing symptoms, but as an opportunity to feel genuinely understood, discover new possibilities, and build a more meaningful relationship with oneself and others. My goal is to meet each person with authenticity, compassion, and respect for their unique experience.
